Monique left behind the glamorous world of working as a personal assistant to a prince to follow a rather different calling —
one led by animals, consciousness, and the mysteries that connect the visible and unseen worlds.
Today, she is an international teacher, and creator of Walk Your Pet Home, a pioneering approach that is reshaping how animals and their people experience end-of-life, grief and the continuation of love. She has trained pet doulas across 11 countries, and her students often describe her trainings as life-changing.
At the heart of Monique’s work is a mission to transform the current end-of-life paradigm: from one dominated by fear, urgency and disconnection into a sacred and conscious journey that honours the animal, restores trust in our intuition and supports grief’s innate movement toward healing. Her approach transforms moments of crisis into opportunities for healing and awakening.
Yet the transformation rarely ends there. Through the relationships we share with animals, Monique helps people uncover and shift the deeper patterns that influence how they meet loss, uncertainty and change. What begins with their precious animal friends can reshape how they trust themselves, receive guidance and move through every challenge in life.
Whether she is supporting an animal guardian, initiating a new generation of pet doulas or leading people into the wild, her work invites a deeper relationship with animals, consciousness and who we truly are. It is spiritual but grounded, profound without becoming painfully serious and always leaves room for laughter, particularly when the animals clearly have other plans.
Monique’s greater vision is a world in which our relationships with animals awaken us to live, love and let go with greater consciousness.
Because on their journey beside us and on their journey home our animals so often walk us home to ourselves.
